Mon Bouillon ritual

There's a misconception that broth can only be eaten as a starter to a good dinner. It can be eaten at any time of day: in the morning at breakfast, as a snack, at lunch or even at dinner... In short, whenever you need it.

I've been an avid consumer of broth for years, and I wanted to share my ritual with you so that you too can become an aficionado.

1. Take one or two 300 ml ceramic bowls (or your Mon Bouillon bowl).

2. Remove the cold broth from its jar, and depending on taste, remove the fat with a skimmer.
Fat is the solid part of the broth in the jar, and is recommended in a ketogenic diet, as it locks in the flavors and benefits of turmeric when reheated.

3. Heat in a small pan over low heat for 5 min. The liquid should simmer and the eyes of the broth should appear: these are the little fat bubbles.

4. Create a small vortex by stirring in the broth with a spoon in a clockwise direction to harmonize the flavors with the intention that the broth can do you good (Discover the benefits here).

5. Option: Dice small vegetables such as carrots, celery and leeks, or even small frozen weights, and add them to your stock for 5 to 8 min.

6. Chop the green herbs to taste: chives/ parsley/ basil/ coriander/ ...

7. Transfer your steaming broth into the ceramic Mon Bouillon bowl, add fresh herbs and a twist or two of pepper (the pepper will activate the anti-inflammatory properties of the turmeric in Mon Bouillon) and enjoy, to share with your friend, neighbor, the stranger on the corner who needs some...

This is just one way of using stock, and we remind you that it can also be used cold or as a base for dishes. Discover all our other recipes on our blog page.
